Paint the colorful Fall landscape with vibrant soft pastels! Soft pastels are a chalky material that can be used dry or mixed with water. Soft pastels are an expressive tool for responding to light, shadow, vivid color, and atmosphere. This four-week class meets at a different Council Bluffs park each week.

Whether you are a beginning artist looking for a new way to spend time outdoors or a seasoned plain air painter seeking an opportunity to paint in good company, this class is for you! In addition to warm-up exercises and demonstrations of techniques such as color mixing, tailored one-on-one guidance is offered. 

Please note that access to restrooms, water, and shelters are limited at the locations we will be meeting, so please plan accordingly. In the event of extreme weather this class will move indoors to the Flight Path Press studio or rescheduled when possible.

Register by Friday, October 2nd.  Cash, venmo, or online payment via the website accepted. Participants are responsible for bringing their own paper and pastels. I recommend the following from Blick Art Supply, 7829 Dodge St., Omaha NE 68114:
